The proper method and posture to use shaver

An electric razor consists of a sharp blade covered with a fine mesh cover. The mesh can capture the hair, which is then gently cut by a blade under the mesh.

Electric shavers can be divided into reciprocating shavers and rotating shavers, which have different uses. The wrong method will cause skin problems and reduce efficiency, so I summarized the main points of using two kinds of shavers:

The method to use reciprocating shavers

1. Shave in the direction in which facial hair grows

Find the direction in which the beard is growing and shave in that direction.

Shaving against the direction of growth makes the skin very sensitive and prone to damage.

Although it’s a bit of a hassle at first, after two or three sessions it becomes very easy.

2. Hand position to hold the razor

Hold the shaver at a 90-degree Angle to your face so that the electric shaver is in contact with your facial skin and shave comfortably with moderate force.

3. Stretch your skin to make hair stand out

Holding the razor with one hand and stretching the facial skin with the other hand makes the facial hair stand upright so it can be easily caught and cut by the mesh without pressing too hard and causing skin irritation. Shaving your chin and jawline can be a little tricky and you need to move your head back a little bit to raise your chin a little bit and that’s the only way to get a clean shave.

4. Don’t push too hard

If you have sensitive skin, make sure you don’t shave too hard.

Everyone’s skin type is different, so it’s best to experiment and see what works best for you.

If the beard is very thin or the facial hair is not very thick, there is no need to apply extra pressure, too much pressure can lead to scratches and cuts.

5. Clean your shaver after use

The shaver must be cleaned after each use, especially after a wet shave.

In order to better maintain razor hygiene and performance, it is important to remove shaving foam or gel and clogged hair from the head of the razor.

The use of rotary shaver

1. Move the razor in a circular motion

The best way to use a rotating razor is to move the razor in a circular motion that combines clockwise and counterclockwise motion.

You can also add some up and down swipes to capture most of the hair growing in different directions on your face.

2. No exertion is required when using a rotary razor

When using a rotary razor, you don’t need to apply extra pressure because a rotary razor can already shave more tightly, even if your facial hair is thick or thick.

If you use the rotary razor hard, you may cause some irritation or cuts to the skin.

3.Rotating razors also need to be cleaned

All types of razors need to be cleaned, especially if you’re using shaving gel or shaving cream.

Therefore, whether manual, foil or rotary shavers, for performance and hygiene purposes, it is strongly recommended that they be cleaned after each use.
